Fall is right around the corner! The flavor of autumn is one that we look forward to each year. From the cinnamon spice to pumpkin spice - it’s one of the perks of the changing season! With the holidays - it’s easy to go on a comfort food binder. Today I want to provide you with some of my healthy fall snacks:
Spice up that generic trail mix with a seasonal dried cranberry flare! Add a cup or two of dried cranberries to your trail mix bag and snack on some goodness! Cranberries are a great source of Vitamin C and give that extra fall feeling to any snack!
Carving pumpkins this year? Don’t be afraid to get messy when cleaning out your jack o’ lantern! Once you separate the seeds from the goop, bake them at 300F for about 40 minutes, sprinkle with a pinch of salt & pepper and voila! A tasty treat full packed with protein!
Easiest fall hack ever: add a pinch of cinnamon to everything! I love having a sliced apple with a bit of cinnamon sprinkled on top for a refreshing mid-day snack. I also add a pinch of cinnamon to almonds— you can’t go wrong.
The best part about this snack is that you can add all of your favorite snacks together and it’s done! No baking - just shaking and mixing up the ingredients. My favorite ingredients for a fall trail mix is pecans, almonds, dried cranberries, dark chocolate and a teaspoon of pumpkin spice. Plus - all the ingredients are packed full of nutrients to help you see results!
