4 Core Keys for Connection

4 Core Keys for Connection

We’ve been talking a lot about being the light in situations lately and it’s made me really stop and think about everything that has been going on in the world. One thing I’ve found to appreciate EVEN MORE is the connections we have with all the brilliant people around us!

So I wanted to share with you some key components of connecting with the people around you:

Connect with yourself first

Before we are able to invest in the people around us or create meaningful connections, we need to get in touch with who we are. In order to attract the right people, we have to make sure we don’t compare ourselves to those around us. Additionally, we need to know our own morals, values and goals so we can find people with similar outlooks.

Be the kind of person you want to attract

Make sure your choices align with who you want to be and who you want to have in your life. When we are being true to ourselves, we will attract similar people who we can really connect with!

Ask questions

Be genuinely curious about the people in your life. Check in, ask questions, make them feel important. Everyone likes to feel valued (including you!) so make sure you treat people that same way.

Listen to the answers

When you’re engaging with people, make sure you’re truly listening. Show them you care about what they’re saying. Be present with the people in your life. Listen and mean it!

It’s so easy to get distracted or to attract the people you think you should be around and I’ve learned you have to be your authentic self and go the extra mile for the people who love and support you!
